Nazareth Handyman is the preaching and teaching outreach ministry of Timothy Fan. It exists to proclaim the Gospel of Christ Jesus, by way of the fear of the LORD our God, making known to all men, everywhere, the unspeakable holiness, righteousness, and saving love of the One who was from Nazareth. For, it is written in the Holy Scriptures concerning Jesus, the Nazarene:

"But He was pierced for our transgressions,
He was crushed for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed."
(Isaiah 53:5)

And also:

"...who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed."
(1 Peter 2:24)

What, then, should we do in light of the truth about Jesus of Nazareth, the eternal Son of God who took on flesh and dwelt among us--who was crucified for our sins, but was raised from the dead on the third day, in power? It is written in God's holy Word:

"From that time Jesus began to teach, and to say, 'Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.' " (Matthew 4:17)

And what does the Lord Jesus mean by the command to 'repent'? He means this:

"The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogance, and the evil way, and the perverse mouth, do I hate." (Proverbs 8:13)

And this:

" 'As I live,' says the Lord GOD, 'I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn, turn from your evil ways; for why will you die, O house of Israel?' " (Ezekiel 33:11)

And also this:

"Then Peter said to them, 'Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.' "
(Acts 2:38)

And concerning the new birth in the Holy Spirit:

"Truly, truly, I say unto you, that unless a man is born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God....Truly, truly, I say unto you, that unless a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God." (John 3:3, 5)

And, regarding how one obtains this new birth of salvation in Christ Jesus:

"If you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and will believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scriptures says, 'Whosoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed.' " (Romans 10:9-11)

And thus when the Lord Jesus (the carpenter's Son from Nazareth) returns to earth, coming on the clouds with the holy angels to judge the living and the dead, coming on a white horse, and being called Faithful and True, in order to judge and make war in His divine righteousness, we do not want to be found amongst the hypocrites, who have professed Him with their mouths but have had hearts that are far from Him:

"Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the Kingdom of Heaven; but he that does the will of My Father who is in Heaven. Many will say to me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name? And in Your name have cast out demons? And in Your name done many wonderful works?' And then I will say unto them, 'I never knew you: depart from Me, you that work iniquity.' " (Matthew 7:21-23)

Instead, we want to be found approved of Him, having been sanctified by faith in His name and having the evidence of true faith through a true love unto Him, and thus be with Him forever:

"For they themselves declare of us what manner of entrance we had unto you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God; and to wait for His Son from Heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus, who delivers us from the wrath to come." (1 Thessalonians 1:9-10)

And:

"He that overcomes shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son." (Revelation 21:7)

May God shine the radiance of His face upon you through the new birth and sanctification in the Holy Spirit, in the Gospel of His eternal Son, Jesus the Nazarene.
